BODY ART
In a context where social and environmental issues are separated from one another, body art is a powerful medium for bringing stories together. In my work, the natural landscape itself is another collaborator, alongside the artists featured. Using environmental and wearable art to create an installation on the body and land, I try to capture the layers of living, breathing beings, whose stories come alive and intertwine on camera. My work centers conversations of self-realization and separation from predetermined ideals of gender, honoring the connections between the body, land, and queer wisdom; and sparking conversations that contribute to collective liberation.
